Why do people like handhelds so much?
Why not just play these games on a TV like an adult would?

I still have it, but the UMD drive failed 2 years ago. Feels bad man. I bought a 3,000 to replace it, but it doesn't feel as good in the hand and doesn't have the spring loaded disc drive.

I bought one specifically to hack it and I just ended up playing classic SNES, NES, GBA, and even N64 games on it lol

there were like 2 games worth playing on PSP anyway. Such a trash console.

However, the only games worth playing consist of Peace Walker and Tony Hawk's Underground 2 Remix

Cars control horribly, gameplay is repetitive and uninteresting (as with all TM games) also IIRC this is a PS2 game as well so NO

I'd add Lumines and LCS/VCS/China Town Wars to the list but DESU absolutely none of the games discussed so far are so good they make the console worth buying

The GBA SP model was my fave handheld console of all time. The main selling point for me was that it was a portable SNES. That's how I thought about it. I didn't play very many games. I owned a PS2 that I only used to watch DVD rentals. It was hooked up to a small CRT. I did not want to have to buy a new television and a console to play kids games. There is no way I could have rationalized spending that much money. To this day I regret getting rid of mine with the games I owned. I do not like any of the handheld devices that followed. To summarize, nostalgia and price.

There's a notably different feel to portable system games compared to home consoles and computers. That's hardly all generations and facts aren't hate. Despite what you've been programmed to believe. Anyway, if you've never been on anything other than your uncles boat you you don't prefer it. It's just the only thing you know. It's also probably not very fast. But it has one truly amazing capability.
