Lower left is Star Fox 64, but I'm guessing you meant to say lower right, which is Tyrian, a PC vertical scrolling space shooter. It's freeware now, so try it out if you're interested.

Metal Slug 3 is 2000. Pretend it's Metal Slug X instead, I guess.
Rez is 2001. Pretend it's Panzer Dragoon Zwei or whatever.
Sin and Punishment is 2000 but on a retro system so it stays.

Weird as hell JP adventure game/survival horror fusion. There's only one enemy you're constantly trying to avoid (a la Clocktower), and entering rooms switches into a first-person adventure game style. Very gritty and rough around the edges, but it has an immense story and concept that really stretches the imagination. Great game, but you need to be in the right mindset to play it.
