I don't care if it's the cliche answer, but Grim Fandango is probably my favorite, at least for traditional point n clicks.. It's what I think of when someone says "Point n Click". Considering how much I love Blade Runner I really should get around to playing the game one of these days.

>>8405992
Riven is so fucking good, one of the best puzzle games ever made. The way it forces you to study and understand a totally alien culture is still unparalleled. It seems a little strange to call it a point n click, but I guess it technically is.

Indiana Jones and the Fat of Atlantis, its so comfy.

I both loved and hated The Dig. It had beautiful visuals and atmosphere. Bunch of the puzzles were interesting but a few of them had problems. Story-wise, it felt strong at the start with good characterization and slowly unraveled into contrivance by the mid and endpoint.

Honestly it's terrible. Super obtuse, lazy gameplay, making you click everything then click everything again with each state change.

The good ending could have been cool if they had put a little more effort into presenting it. Was really rushed.

Ask yourself, how many people actually beat these games when they were new? I'm pretty sure 99.999% of customers enjoyed the art and dialogue, but were eventually stumped to the point of not playing anymore.

>> No.8412119 [DELETED]

More people than you think. These games were sold new for $60 and most people back then only bought 2-3 games a year. PC gamers didn't have thousands of cheap and free games at their disposal like they do today. That's also why I find it ironic when zoomers complain about adventure game deaths and pixel hunting, because back then those things were considered features. Lucasarts's games were blasted hard by journalists for their casual difficulty and lack of deaths, and there seems to be a perception as well that they were on equal terms with Sierra, when in reality Sierra games typically sold at least 10x more.

technically it wasn't a point and click though, because the original had tank controls

I played Blade Runner for the first time earlier this year and loved it. The cherry on top is that they managed to get several actors from the movie to voice their characters in the game.

>>8407447
>he's such a dork and i really wish we could've played as anyone else
I thought this was an intentional trait of Blade Runners. They all seem to be misfits who manage to get by largely on luck (unless you're Holden). Deckard definitely wasn't portrayed as some kind of ace. He was pretty incompetent and nearly died at the hands of a replicant multiple times. In the game, they put him at the very bottom of the shooting range scoreboard.

yup its the same ending with the book if you go with the bad ending, honestly if you want the good ending youll need a guide since i remember it being moon logic level
