Alf for the sega master system can go for as much as $40+ when anyone who played the game knows how horrible it is and is clearly bargain bin material yet many who likely bought it back in the day are outright surprised that they essentially get their money back after all these years likely even factoring in inflation!

I don't know if this is related, but today I found myself trying to save a PS1 game on a full memory card. Because you can't clear space while ingame, your only options are to either get another PS1/PS2 and clear the data on that, or lose your progress. I never owned a Playstation as a kid, but if I did, I would imagine calling up my friend and begging him to come over so I can clear space on his Playstation. As shitty as this design is, I can't help but feel a certain magic in the air about such a concept, a magic that we'll never see again.
