Can I get a quick rundown on this guy?

I just discovered the source port last week. The fairy tale world is filtering me hard. I think I like the hand-cannon the best out of the weapons, but the cake's splash damage and arc is very useful too.

apple was truly pitiable in the mid 90s

Pangea Software. This guy teaches you how to make iPhone apps on Youtube now. He did Nanosaur, also, which you all remember shipped on the original iMacs.

Power Pete was competent in its day, and a lot of fun, but it was also the sort of game you downloaded in an MM on AOL, played for a few hours, then deleted.

Pangea is rad, though. Show the dood some love on YouTube.

>Exile series
>Realmz
>Escape Velocity series
>Ambrosia Software in general
>Bungie's games
>F/A-18 Hornet
>Enhanced ports of DOS games

Just off the top of my head. Yes, the Mac obviously had a more limited selection of games than the fucking PC. But it still had its own charme.

>> No.8275272

for me it was Boom, Step On It, Dark Castle, Blood Bath, Bill the Demon, Postal Pat the list goes on...

>> No.8275653

Coulda sworn mine was called Mighty Mike.

Was originally called this. When ported to Mac they changed the name.

>> No.8278307

>>8272803
Same for me. Think I played it on a demo disc, either MacAddict or British MacFormat.

>> No.8278514

>>8278205
It was always a Mac game
Power Pete was the original name, Interplay made them change it from Mighty Mike for the retail box and when they released the shareware version they changed it back to Mighty Mike.

Lord, yes. Had this on the first home computer we ever got, the first game I ever bought "online", which amounted to sending away for the unlock code on the demo. I vividly remember playing this and the marathon demo constantly, even my dad tried it a few times.

The unga-bunga of the cave men is just burned in my skull. Considered trying mac emulation to try and play it again, but apparently I'm a moron. It's not the best game by a long shot, but it was a blast at the time.

I wish I could get either the Mac or the Windows versions to work. Both weirdly seem to not work properly with my (ordinary) mouse

The source port is well-done and effortless to run
