My Japanese is not very jouzu, but as I understand it "red" and "black" have the same financial connotation as in English. "Pink" is, I believe, sexual innuendo.
(Assuming this is a poor overly-literal translation, like you usually see in SNK games...)

"In the Pink" is thought to be a 16th century saying, usually it's meant to mean someone being in top physical condition which makes enough sense. It is a strange rewrite though as the Japanese line is something like "Sorry, but I guess today’s my lucky day." which never brings up his physical condition.
