Not if you use the hardest difficulty or attempt to do it on a single life

takes me half hour to beat the game and I know it by heart; and that doesn't count all the alt-paths you can take which are plentiful and bring the total amount of content just as close to FF1 and 2 but work in the game's favour for replay value

On the one hand, people like more content for home releases. On the other, being an arcade genre, you typically don't want an overly long game due to difficulty, the ultimate goal being 1CCing, and the demands of the operators for games that don't have people playing forever on a single credit.
