First I recommend you to don't waste time on things you don't like. Second this is one of the best controllers ever made. Third is still made because is the prefer option for fighting game fans. First and only Street fighter I have finish was Alpha 2 with this controller. Even these controllers have been made for PS systems. The D pad is that good, the other I can think that is as well rewarded as this is the Neo Geo Pocket & color stick. Also the bottom layout is great.

I read this here every once in a while, could you or someone else explain it better to me? I recently had the opportunity to get an SN30 Pro wired (dogbone shape, no handles) for a affordable price and... It's fine. I wouldn't kill for that controller or put it on a pedestal, but it works decently for retro gaming. I was expecting pure shit, based on what I read here, kinda got surprised there. I'm using it to finish many games I had already beaten, so I can compare it well against other controllers. While I can understand why someone don't like them, I can't fathom why the hate. Is it one of those cases people hate on something just because it got famous?

If that were the case, wouldn't my phone/camera be better?

I only have one in that color. It is the same one repeated in all my pics. It cost me around $19USD back in 2016, but since I like using these controllers, it was worth splurging for.

The fake ds3s are all over eBay and Amazon. So glad I bought 2 new in box when they were cheap. Same for wii and 360.

Retro Fighter and 8bitdo make good replacements for just about every retro console. That new ps1 and 2 controller from retro fighter looks great, I hate the stock Sony dpad.

I play all my PC games with a DS3 controller that I found in the trash, it's a really great controller for emulators too.

I noticed that too. For both DS3 and DS4 on amazon. There was no reason for the bootlegs to have differences before but for some unspoken reason they did make those easy to spot differences back then, but now they are a bit too subtle or you'll have to open them to verify authenticity. Aside from the bootlegs, there are lots of alternatives for the Sony ones, like these for tiny kid hands.

Some of those Saturn pads discolor nicely. I have one which turned to a chocolate brown and I think it looks great.

I don’t think it’s discoloured, I just don’t think it was ever truly white

Yeah, tons and tons of diffrent models. I like the Namco driving one the most. I don't have the collection you have but I got a few cool items like the ant it cool saturn controller.

As far as the Chinese clones go, even retro game stores are passing out of box clones and OEM. They play dumb when I point it out but I can tell immediately from how the sticks and buttons feel compared to the real deal. If the Chinese put like 2 dollars more of plastic and parts they could sell it as a replacement for way more then the clones go for

I have a Saturn to USB adapter from Mayflash for that, the problem is that the Saturn pad only has Start, it needs a Menu button.
