Kaze and the Wild Masks (Nintendo Switch) if you want a comfy Donkey Kong Country platformer.

Kirby 64 if you want a comfy retro platformer

Snes has a lot of good platformers but when I see Klonoa I think of babby's first platformer with little challenge so something I like might be too intense for somebody else. DKC2 is excellent but considered difficult so I dno if you would like it.

For non-plataformers, you could try Tetris Battle Gaiden (fan translated) for the snes or Ms. Pac Man Maze Madness for the ps1, very cute and comfy games.

I remember getting into Klonoa series through mention of GBA game in vidya magazine. No screenshots, no info, they just mentioned the title and I decided to check it out.
First game was so great it instantly made me a fan. But second was meh and I only finished it last year. I wonder if that third JRPG game is any good.
