After playing the Tronne Bonne JP demo disk I was hooked, and pre-ordered Dash 2. Favorite thing about the system to this day and still this makes me QQ.

I wish someone made a hack for MML1 that tuned the difficulty + zenny gain to be like MML2 with the S class license. I couldn't imagine playing the second game any other way, it really was elevated by the extra difficulty.

Still my favorite Roll design. Wish she wasn't restricted to Legends.

So an inferior design, got it.

Im honestly surprised that nobody has ever tried to roll with the design of MML. Nearly every snes/ps1 era game has had SOME kind of imitation or copy made by indy devs, but to my knowledge nothing has copied the aesthetics or gameplay style of MML. Its disappointing and absurd.

Any other games on the PS1 with similar aesthetics?

only gripe is that in the first game by the time you have the ability to explore the whole map w drill arm, all the special weapons the zenny to upgrade them etc there's nothing left to do with them. your buster is so overpowered by then that you can breeze through the sub cities and main gate with it alone and everyone just uses shining laser on juno

My biggest gripe with both games is that you can't change subweapons whenever you want. In MML1 its mostly fine since you get the drill arm near the end of the game but MML2 basically forces you to keep it on if you want minimal backtracking.

Tail Concerto came the closest, but went for anime portraits instead of letting the their 3D models do any emoting. Granted, MIsadventures of Tron Bonne did the same thing.
