Archive.org is not your personal 10 Gbps download server, it's a library for backups and obscure stuff that would be lost otherwise. You can get Chasm from any regular source, Rutracker has the torrent from fucking 2007, which was closer to its release date than to this day.

Automatic torrent creation sometimes processes the data that is still being uploaded, or gets skipped after small data changes. I remember reading about the option to rehash the item somewhere in the help articles, but I'm not sure whether it is only available to the owner and mods. Basically, the uploader has to pay attention and learn how it all works to create/provide a canonical torrent to be used by some dedicated group. If the peers are absent, you are still downloading from archive.org via the same HTTP.
