Hey there /vr/. I'm the organizer for /v/'s latest Super Mario World collab hack. Currently, the hack is close to being completed, but we're still in need of people to help bugtest and play through all the levels. I'm posting here rather than /v/ because this board moves a bit slower, and there isn't as much concern about the Thread being bumped out before it's too late. Other people who helped with the project are likely to post here, but you're welcome to help as well! We're still in need of some Art and Music for the remaining game content, but all the levels are now completed.

As work on the true final boss continues, Cancer Lord's graphics need to be made. Pic related contains a list of what's needed, descriptions of the attacks, and references. I'm open to suggestions for changes and additions!
Along with his normal attacks, he also attacks with shitty temporary effects, which are triggered by not perfectly doding his crown when he throws it So far the ones I have planned are:

Progress is going a bit slow but the cover should be done by the end of the week.
Its a pretty fucking beefy cover but I should be able to do it.

Alright, room 1F9 is ready. I'll post it here for feedback and just in case OP is here to add it. But if he's not here, then I'll just email it to him in the morning. The gimmick is that you're constantly alternating between regular jumps and spin jumps. It ends with a pipe instead of a door, since you can't enter doors while constantly jumping. Though you can enter it if you're climbing a vine, but that's too clunky. I edited the code so it uses free RAM $59. Also my ROM is here so you can play it right away.

You're restricted to only being able to use 8 sound channels. So pretty much you can only have 8 instruments per song.
Also each channel can only play one note at a time. So no blackmidi shit where you stack a ton of noted on one channel. If you want to do note stacking you need to do it in another channel.

Whoa, this is awesome! I forgot to mention that the reason I ask for midis is because of PetiteMM, which converts midis into .txt files for Addmusick, in case you didn't know that already. It's really easy to manipulate the notes and fit them into each channel. And since you can change instruments for a channel on the fly by using the @, you can fit a lot if you know what you're doing.
