Could never get into it, it's really damn hard and filters me every time.
As for me it's pic related. It's a normalfag choice but I just love this game so much, it's easy to just pick up and play and it's just perfect. If it's not SMB1 then it's probably Zelda 1 or Dragon Quest 4. Rockman games and Metroid are also up there

>> No.8021039

I always liked simple early arcades like Battle City, Warpman or Dig Dug. It's good for short play sessions.

I played Wild Gunman one day and suddenly realized none of the stages are randomly generated as I previously thought. They are fixed and in Gang mode there are several patterns in which bandits would appear.
Maybe this is well known to everyone but for me it was like to discover a fucking 8th continent.

There are so many NES games that I love that it is difficult to pick just one. But there is one I come back to again and again, and that's Ninja Gaiden 2: The Dark Sword of Chaos.

In my opinion, it is the most complete NES experience, and it hasn't aged a day. It remains a fun challenge despite the fact that I've cleared it dozens of times, and the soundtrack slaps like an abusive husband. I clear NG1 and 2 nearly monthly because it's a great way to unwind for a short 40 minute block of time. One day, when I am old and decrepit, I will no longer have the reflexes to finish the game. On that day, I will quit videogames forever.

And Blaster Master is a close second.

Kirby is a sandbox you nubs. Look at all the power ups look at all the neat mechanics and interaction they added. It’s a nes game packed with nice graphics fun music and cool power ups. Eating enemies and flying is the default mechanics. Imagine seeing that for the first time as a kid. Back in the day people used to play games. Now they just beat them.
