Some kind of intertwining network accessible from the emulator itself that supports more than one player over the internet, maybe even with global scoreboards.

This. NESticle had something like it back in the day. Pallet editor or something. So many Marios with their dicks hanging out, smoking weed.

I just wish full gui control via gamepad was a standard feature in emulators for Windows / Linux. Is this too much to ask?

It's like emulators are designed only with fucking plebs in mind who play in front of their monitors using the keyboard.

How about a GBA emulator that can emulate linkcables. Actual two player gameplay would be cool, even on the same machine. I just want to emulate a link so I can access the extra items in FF Tactics Advance,

>Not hooking up your computer to a 50 inch hdtv + gamepad and playing sprawled on the couch

It's really frustrating having to leave the controller and get up from the couch just to change the game. I bought a wireless keyboard + touchpad but it's still a bother.

These times I really miss and regret having sold my modded original Xbox full of emulators that could be completely controlled from the gamepad.

Yeah, people never had this problem with the real hardware. Emulators should strive for accuracy, and 'getting up to change the game' is not accurate.

But on a real console you have to get up and swap the disc/cartridge.

Yeah, because that totally doesn't require a monster of a computer or anything. The goddamn Super Nintendo requires a top of the line desktop.

I tried this with Pinnacle Game Profiler, but it's too much of a hassle having to configure different profiles for each emulator since most have different keyboard shortcuts.

It also doesn't work for every emulator since some emulators have very limited keyboard shortcut support

I also tried some of those arcade cabinet frontend things but they're a huge pain in the ass to set up and configure and also aren't compatible with all emulators.

VBA and it's various forks can do SGB borders and palette, as well as BGB

Only bSNES can do full Super Game Boy, by emulating the SNES running the SGB cartridge with a GB emulator running as a coprocessor.

>So many Marios with their dicks hanging out

I think it that "Gay Mario."

That was back in the late-90s when nobody really knew how to hack anything yet, so everybody just got together and circulated shit like Super KKK Brothers, MegaFag, that one Sesame Street hack with exposed genitalia, and occasionally English translations where it was unnecessarily vulgar and edgy.

>> No.805731

>>805689
My favorite was a Link's Awakening edit with some kid taking Link's role by accident. It was vulgar, edgy, the sword was his penis and I believe the owl at one point said "Hoot Hoot Motherfucker."

It was a piss poor edit but the dedication to put a character that didn't belong and edit the dialogue was great. Early 2000s angelfire, tripod and geocities rom communties were beautiful.
