Let's talk about this game.

In case you don't know, this is a N64 point and click/visual novel/life simulation game where you take care of a cute pinocchio-esque robot girl, sequel of a SNES game where it's a boy instead. Both games take place in the same universe and some aspects of the first game plays a role in the second one. It only released on japan, but got a fan translation.

No game ever made me feel this emotionally attached to a character before. Now I got to play the first one. What other life simulation games resemble these?

>> No.8000713

>>8000705
no one ever seems to talk about the game. Just use it as a point scoring device "see! N64 had a 2D game!" I have no interest in movie games like this, it seems like the first and second both play out similarly with tragic endings for a son proxy and a daughter proxy.

Sorta. You interact by teaching her values and then sitting back and seeing how she deals with NPC in social situations. The first game tried to implement some action puzzles where you time spikes and fire etc and they're absolutely awful.

The sprites are nice, and Josette is super cute.
Bit clunky here and there with those 3D sections, but it's ultimately a very charming game.

Anyone here played the original?

I'm stuck on the part where Pino has to fight the boss inside the Corlo Mines. Despite maxing both Courage and his Leg power, he still runs away it.

What should I do?

I can't figure out if this commercial is blessed or cursed.

- Schizo boy breaks breaks up with his girlfriend because he hallucinates Josette crying.
- Announcer who looks like a happy Chirs-chan without medallion and mutilations.
- All those girls dressed up as Josette and my inability to tell if they're children or teenager.

The game save was so large, they included a memory card with it. There are other raising sims like the Princess Maker games, or this here where you train up a fighter, but an interesting one is the Roommate games which utilized the system clock for the virtual roommate.
