The main difference is that wyverns are a feral species, while the true dragons were intelligent prior to the degeneration and sterility dwindling their numbers. Manakete like Tiki and Nowi have retained their sanity by taking a human form and only using their dragon forms when necessary, but wyvern are but wild beasts.

I haven't encountered a single one and I've played FE4 5 times through. an attempt is when you try, they didn't just try to make a fan translation. they made one and it isn't perfect but that doesn't mean it's "an attempt at a new fan translation" that means it's a finished translation with bugs. very different, tool.

I'll never understand all the love for FE4. The map design is awful and just gives the illusion of being open until the very last objective. I could agree that the story is better and more complex than other Fire Emblems if that wasn't only true for the first half. Seliph is just Marth 2.0 and Julius has to be in the running for one of the worst final villains in the entire franchise.

I think it's just the power fantasy stuff of taking on big blocks of units with your small amount of guys. I do think that it's pretty shit in terms of map design but there are some fun bits of gameplay in there. doesn't hold a candle to the other two SNES FE games though.
