GCCX would have like a couple fan events per year for most years before the pandemic, sometimes more. There would often be some kind of stage show in the summer and then a neighborhood stamp rally or something for when they released a DVD set around the end of the year.

This episode was a lot of fun. I'm not familiar with the game but it seems enjoyable. I searched online and found it was produced by Iwata, now I'm feeling all depressed so I tracked down and ordered a copy of the game. Can't wait to play.

Zombie's an autist but GooseCanyon had the option to not used Zombie's work at all, or gave him credit when they did. They managed to do the worst possible thing of using his work without credit and then bashing him.
That sort of shit causes a chilling effect if another group wants to start subbing because GC set the precedent that they'll just take your work for their own subs and not only not credit you, but shit on your work.
To be honest, I'm thinking it was done intentionally to spite Zombie given his reputation.

Based on westerners tastes, the only 'highly requested heavy-hitter' would be Earthworm Jim, Wild Arms, Mega Man X2, Super Mario RPG and Mother 2. The latter two would be extremely resource intensive even if you use the original game translation for all the text.
Also there was that one spite driven anon who wanted to do Earthworm Jim, we'll see if he's all talk though.

I totally agree that the way the geese handled it was really bad. They actually might have translated all of it from scratch, or they should have if they didn't. As soon as they made their post about it, I knew there would be a problem. If they were trying to deprive him of attention, it did the opposite. It was idiotic.

Also the point was to show that GC is willing to steal other people's work and then bash them while doing it, which creates the intended chilling effect for other would be subbers, since now they have to worry about GC stealing their work as well.
The only time we had this sort of overlap during SA's reign was when they and the Last Continue both did Yoshi's Island, but SA just did their own subs as opposed to taking LC's.

It's not terrible, but it's definitely sloppy. There are spots where untranslated text on screen really should have been translated. The way he puts in the honorifics for Arino and Hamaguchi sometimes and not other times seems totally random. I saw a ton of spelling errors and a few lines that sound a little unnatural. A translation checker might help, and he badly needs a proofreader.

Should be done beyond the playing card word play joke that gets posted here. It remains the only multi season challenge outside of The Quest of Ki, and Arino getting screwed over by the game mechanics or misjudging distance is always fun. Plus, they include the final episode of Faminioaire, and the first episode of what I'd argue is one of the strongest segments in the series. 2-Player Without Honor or Humanity: The Mario Bros. Arc. it's also notable for the fact it's the only time in the series outside of his single appearance in the first episode that AD Yamada is mentioned. Finally, it's last episode Yuuko Takeda does the narration for TamaGe.

Another solid challenge for this Japan only game where Arino really wants to stay with his game wife, even going so far as to reset the game early on. It also has really wild segments like the fairy eating skit. Kaga shows once again why he's one of the later fan favorite ADs with his support of Arino during the end of the game.

Imagine if another Budokan happened, but it was superior in every way Outside of the RNG blessing Arino in Derby Stallion creating an actual miracle play. . That's Messe in a nutshell and it's really a crime it hasn't been subbed yet. Especially the Super Mario Bros 2 challenge for obvious reasons when you watch it (You don't even need to know Japanese either to enjoy it).

Fun game that tests Arino's skills with run and gun shooting that was originally going to be a Terminator game before Sunsoft lost the license. More great skits like the ADs playing the main theme of the game for Arino. And one of the best TamaGes of the series as well, it starts out extremely strong and never lets up.

The Mega Man challenges have become really dull lately because of how forced to stick to a formula they are, it's probably why they dropped the original series for X after 4.
Hell, the pacing for 4 was awful and they'd be fore to repeat that for 5 and 6. Robot masters + first castle for first episode, Wily Castle for second. It means they have to cut a lot of content for the first episode, and then stretch out shit for the second. If GCCX episodes were 90 minutes, Mega Man challenges would be perfectly services.
