Now that I see that your GPU is total horseshit: unironically use software, experiment with 2 or 3 threads in the renderer options. In the general options, try the Instant VU1 speedhack (you are using the latest build right?) or MTVU failing that. If that all fails start lowering EE and VU in the speedhack section, but you really don't want to unless you have to as those mess with ingame speeds/framerates. That should do it.

I know pcsx2 lists stuff like 1GB of RAM being enough to emulate, but it isnt really.
try emulating stuff in dolphin and if you still stutter/lag then yes, its your extremely potato like laptop thats the problem.

I built an XP box with 1gb and a 2.4ghz P4 a little while ago. With the MyPal browser I can limp along decently enough. Enough to get games and shit without sideloading, even (barely) plays Youtube.
