How do you all store your consoles?

Looking for a good solution, something like pic related, or a table with similar shelving.

But also looking for a temporary solution to go on a dresser/table. Anyone got any good solutions for narrow standing shelves to go on something like that. Needs to be about the same width as a genesis/n64 with spaces for 4-5 consoles.
Almost like a CD tower, but for consoles.

Yeah, that's what my issue is at the moment. I need something that looks decent, but more importantly is practical.
It's why I've been searching for some kind of "CD tower" to go on my current small desk, but any kind of shelving thing I find has really really low shelves that would make swapping games an absolute nightmare.

It would be so much easier if I was in a position to put actual shelves on the wall, but unfortunately I can't at the moment.

>>7936628
One solution to that I can think of is to have like a tray-sliding system, similar to a server rack. If you want to change a cart/disk then you just pull the tray out to access it. Bit of a /diy/ job but I'd imagine it'd be quite fun.

After a certain point I realized that managing ALL the cables for ALL the consoles and ALL their accessories was kinda foolish. The fact is that I might only play a few consoles at a time, so I just set up 2 or 3 and leave the other packed away and swap them as needed.

It might be different if I wanted them 'on display' but it's my house and no one visits so...

Luckily I only have Genesis, Snes, N64, Wii, Ps2. And 3 of those consoles use the same cable, so a little less hassle.

The PS2 and Wii can stack as well, so that's one less problem too.

Have you thought of something like this OP? It's the closest I can think of to what you described. Shelves might be a bit narrow for a SNES though, and you would have to pull consoles out a bit to change games judging from the height.

don't keep tissue papers in living spaces, keep all your tissue boxes paper towels and toilet paper in either the kitchen or the bathroom.

It sounds annoying at first getting off your ass to go blow your nose in the other room but trust me it's worth it. You're still going to get a bit of dust over time but seriously quarantining your tissue papers will reduce the quantity of ambient dust by over half.

Tissue paper tends to disintegrate over time, and is easily caught in the air. Moving it around also speeds that up. So, to reduce ambient dust, keep it quarantined.

It's a Pipishell Desk Shelf Oragnizer on Amazon. There's a few different versions with different names, but they all seem to be the same dimensions.

Go for it! It's a bit annoying having to slide the consoles out to change games, but if you give enough slack on the cables you can place it on the desk in front of the shelf to do that, or just hold it in your hand while you do it.

Alternatively if you have something to tidy the cables up and collect them in one place on the top shelf you can keep the bottom 2 consoles unplugged and just swap them to the top shelf depending on what you feel like playing that day/week.

I'm glad I took the chance on it and thankful for that surprise lightning sale.
