It really fucking doesn't. I can name like 8 or so CD games that I love and zero 32x. I guess Kolibri is at least interesting and beautiful even if the game isn't good.

Sega CD had the potential to be better if they did more games like Final Fight but in the end a lot of the good games could have been done on the standard console with cuts.

With 32x a lot of games would have been impossible on the console, I think it was good just being able to buy a little accessory and then being able to play doom. For some reason it gets judged against the ps1 when its in the same category and the xbox 360 hd dvd drive or the Gba card reader.

I have not tried anything PAL. I think there is a mod to make the PAL Mega Drive 60hz, and the newest everdrives and MegaSD can load up the CD games.
