It has a -vanilla mode for vanilla compatibility. But I believe it only works with -warp as well. No mode for boom or mbf (though it can playback demos recorded in them, mostly without issues)
I think there are plans to add proper complevels in the future, though dunno if it's a priority for them.

I just downloaded it and right at the start it is established you are one of the good guys.
He didn't publish that stuff in Germany and even if he did, swastikas are not banned anymore in games, you play as an american and apart from some things that are arguably in bad taste, there is nothing about this that warrants any move on the feds' side.
If he tried to sell it, it would probably be banned for the violence+sex content, but that's it.
Stop parroting whatever bullshit you read here or elsewhere. I probably won't finish it though, since "story-driven", especially in a shooter, is a huge red flag.

The Super Soaker now works as intended. You can pump up to 5 times. With maximum pressure it will shoot 10 projectiles in rapid succession, with the range being about tripled compared to no pumping.
Of course there needs to be some balancing done, but at least I got the mechanics down. This would have been an absolute horror with Decorate.
Sprites are still just quick placeholder doodles I use to set up the animations.

belts are the most obvious area for improvement. they need a thickness of at least one "pixel" and less dense UVs.
more broadly, the issues are with detail density.
geometry shouldn't have more detail that the texture: with some modifications, the belts could have been painted onto the model. and geometry should go to important parts first: the tube at the front probably has more faces than the gun's entire body.

last one is more subjective, but I think you went overboard with assymetry. all you needed was to break up the long samey section closest to the camera - just the leftmost "battery" would have sufficed and the balance would have remained more or less at the center.

It is automated. Idk about DoomBuilder but in Slade there is Ctrl-A combo to automatically align textures on the selected wall and all connected walls having the same texture. It's a case of less is more,it gives us just the right amount of info to know about their personalities and helps the storytelling without detracting from the gameplay.
About the soldiers,we know they're not happy to kill scientists,so they're not mindless monsters like we see at first glance. Opposing Force just gives more depth to them but we already get their human side in the campaign.

The premise is that you're a Sonderkommando who revolts and fights back against his captors. Certainly a very bleak setting for a shooting game, but at the same time it's a basic concept of rebellion which works for an action game.

People were offended by this, and it was retooled into Eisenfaust : Origins, where instead of being a Sonderkommando, and instead of jews/slavs/gays being depicted as the victims of all this cruelty, you play as a Mutant, and they are all Mutants, the Wolfenstein 3D kind, gray skin, red eyes, purple blood, green overalls, etc. Tonally this is super awkward, because it's still painfully clear that the setting is a modestly edited concentration camp with the inmates being replaced with the goofy and cartoony mutants.

I think it would have been way more dignified and honest to just stick with the original concept, rather than crudely concealing it with this goofy cartoon bullshit as an attempt of toning it down and censoring things, because looking at the original, I see something that's unpleasant simply because it's dark, but looking at the censored final, it's just full of extremely awkward parallels which looks much worse.

All done, tested it real quick in GZDoom and prboom+, seems to work perfectly, same with the .bex file.
