Okay, /vr/, I've been meaning to pick up some games for my SNES and N64 that I bought a while back that are currently collecting dust.

Instead of just asking you guys what I should buy, I've compiled a list of games that I'm interested in, and I'm going to poll you guys on what I should buy. The game on each platform with the most votes by, say, 60 posts, I'll go after.

SNES
>Super Metroid
>Donkey Kong Country 2
>Yoshi's Island 2
>DKC 3
>Megaman X2
>Cool Spot
>Sparkster
>Super Turrican
>Contra 3
>Street Fighter 2
>Metal Warriors
>EVO: Search For Eden
>TMNT IV: Turtles in Time
>Cybernator
>Secret of Evermore
>Wild Guns

N64
>Mischief Makers
>Conker's Bad Fur Day
>Expand Dong 64
>Perfect Dark
>Goldeneye
>Majora's Mask
>Sin and Punishment
>Killer Instinct Gold
>Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth

Also, which of the many versions of Rayman 2 is the best?

>> No.781370

Rayman 2 for the PS2

>> No.781384 [DELETED]

The GOG version is the best imo. Its the first version of the game (the way the designers intended it to be)

>> No.781390

Get Rayman 2 from GOG

Also op why poll /vg/ when you could just buy the games that look most interesting to you?

>> No.781402

>>781394
It's quite difficult to decide from these ones myself. I cherrypicked the games from various lists, and I wanted to find some opinions on which games I should get.

Actually, add Super Mario 64 to the list.

>> No.782325

Turok 3 is worth owning for N64.

Rayman 2 N64 was the original, and arguably best version. Dreamcast version runs at 60fps. PS1 version is rubbish. PC version more or less identical to N64 version. PS2 version apparently has framerate issues.

>>782325
Shame I don't have Dreamcast. Maybe I'll see how bad the PS2 version's framerate really is.

>apparently

I've played it and it's just fine. If you haven't played something and you're not sure about it, don't comment on it.

I guess you could say it has framerate issues compared to the 60fps Dreamcast version. I mean, let's not beat around the bush.

The PS2 isn't exactly known for stable framerates.

I had the PC version. It had copy protection issues.

Super Metroid and Majora's Mask

Throw the list away and play Mega Turrican and Lightening Force.

Then play Mischief Makers and Majora's Mask.

>tell him to pick up Genesis/Megadrive games
Not that those aren't good games (Turrican 2 is superior to Mega), but WTF are you doing?

He did give me SNES & N64 votes, so it would be reasonable, IMO, to assume he was joking about the Genesis games.

Wait, it was just 2 N64 votes. Oversight.
