It's not a great game but it's got atmosphere and fun, spoopy visuals. GBA version is supposed to be quite good.
If you have an original Xbox just play Grabbed by the Ghoulies instead for much of the same effect. It's a little bit better of a game.

Never have I seen a game so criminally underrated, even within fans of it's respective series it's just glossed over. All the reviews back in the day just boil down to "This isn't Sands Of Time 2 why didn't they just make the same game again?!?!?". Really bugs the hell out of me.

Just started playing it. The music is kinda ruining it for of all things. The music starts to play during combat and it takes forever to stop. Even when the combat is done it continues to play in the background...
But I kinda like the story so far

man this game was great
I played this on Gamecube and there was a bug, which made it so I couldn't leave the save room right before the final boss
But I had enjoyed the game so much I said fuck it and played it through again, this time getting all the health upgrade so I could fight the real boss
Those Dahaka chase sequences were so much fun and I have to agree with >>7808002, the soundtrack is amazing

Sub rebellion is the most hated game on /vr/. Despite featurint a carefully crafted world and post apocalyptic scenario full of ocean bound empires, ancient evils and a collapsed post apocalypse civilization, this board continues to shit on it. The moment you mention the name you get swarms of internet dregs shitting on it. "Boo! Subs suck, planes are better!", "I don't want to submarine around, I hate pinging the darkness to find eldritch horrors boo!", "This is a quiznos sir", "grrr water more like worster!" There's clearly an agenda at play here. Sub Rebellion is a slow but satisfying action game where you use quick reflexes and clever navigation to take down the enemy ships and destroy massive battle ships that fire swarms of missiles at you.

I bought this game in a Big Lots bin for 10 bucks. Spent many nights playing it. It even has R. Lee Ernie in it!
