It was amazing value for $20USD. I guess maybe there is less waste and more eco friendly with modern digital distribution, but my old sensibilities still enjoy reading from books. Now updates and patches are more easily obtained, and more cost effective to just browse for the information online, so it is better now.

Most big AAA games still come out as physical just to claim some shelf space as advertisement in walmarts and shit, but it's always just steam codes in slip cases. The overwhelming majority of PC game sales are just completely digital by this point.
