post games that you actually play on saturn. i have a hard time believing you collector shills that talk about how good nights and burning rangers is. like they're cool games in concept but clunky as all fuck. do you seriously sit down and play that shit for a few hours on the regular? this console gets shilled all the time on here so i want some baller games nigger. i already know its got big dick shmups and fighting games, and i know that daytona usa is da king baybey, but for a console to get sucked off as much as the saturn does, there must be more gaymes. reveal them now

I’ve never played a Saturn game. May as well be the Jaguar, 3DO or Pippin.

I've played the panzer dragoon games, nights, bulk slash, sakura wars

I liked the panzer dragoon games, in particular 2. Saga is worth playing but I found it too easy or simple at times for an rpg, even compared to its contemporaries

Nights is cool but also accessible anyway, I've played it on everything but saturn. I think it's cool but definitely not for everyone. Its iconic but probably not the system's best game

Sakura Taisen was neither enough of a good srpg or dating sim for me to say it's actually good, they make it all about which girl you want to choose but you ultimately don't get much time with them

Bulk slash is a cool short game, hard to critique it since it's just dumb fun, it's not something I binge for hours though since it would get repetitive on repeat play thoughts

Saturn always fascinated me as a forgotten system and I'm glad its doable to emulate now, it has a lot of cool shit. I find it better than the n64 but does pale compared to what ps1 offers if only because of the sheer number of games that thing got

How is Nights clunky at all? It's a pretty middle of the road game and that's it really.

Nights, Columns Collection, Battle Garegga, DoA, VF2 and I've been trying to play Deep Fear, but I've been bouncing off it.

But 90% of the Saturn's shmups are just (bad) ports that you can play for free on MAME.

I just beat Tomb Raider again. I'm thinking about making Shining Force 3 the next game I play since I love SRPGs, but I am probably going to throw SF1 and 2 on my Vita and play through them first.

The alternative is to just put Shining Force on the back burner and play Vandal Hearts now that the translation is out. I played it on the PS1 decades ago but never actually beat it.

>>Nights HD controls are awful and is missing content
Muh meme Sonic into Dreams mode, also the controls are playable just fine on HD, quit bullshitting nigga.
>>Sega Rally had extra content and remixed soundtrack on Saturn
At the cost of looking and running much worse.
>>Same for VF2, the Saturn version also ran at a better fps
At the cost of having much worse visuals and muffled sfx/voice-over samples.
Also, Saturn's VF2 displays at 60 fields per second interlaced, which looks like crap.
>>Sakura Wars Columns is GOAT
Got nothing on the actual GOAT of the series, Columns III on the Mega.

Why are Saturn shills so dishonest? Your console sucked, get over it instead of having buyers remorse and coping 25+ years later to get people to like your shitty console that killed Sega.

Mostly shmups. If you don't like shmups, you probably don't need a Saturn.

For the just-emulate-shits. Here is a list of games that are better on Saturn vs the original arcade PCBs:

Outrun 60fps vs 30fps
Game Tengoku, additional levels and charactets
Sol Divide, adfitional roguelike mode
Gunbird, additional characters
SF Zero3, additional characters, backgrounds, modes
SFII / CPS1, representing the final updates and bugfixes not found on any CPS board
Cyberbots, more animation frames than CPS2
Hyper Duel, all sprites reworked, for the better
Sonic Wings Special, flat out beats Sonic Wings Limited PCB
Street Fighter Collection, adfitional Character

>Saga is worth playing but I found it too easy or simple at times for an rpg,
i wanna try out a Japanese copy a friend gave me of this. How much actual text is in this game? Like I know there are lore items you get, but from what I have seen in game play, it doesnt look like there is much dialogue or text at all for a JRPG and i seem to remember old reviews praising that aspect of "visual" story-telling, or am I entirely mislead by this and would be about the same as playing a Final Fantasy in Japanese?
