Used to be the cheaper of the two US Megaman Saturn games, suddenly some $125 BIN listing on ebay sold while there were $35 and lower listings available and suddenly it got marked as uber rare and worth $125+ on pricecharting sites and it shot up overnight.

You mean this ? I watched a review and the guy said it plays gameboy advanced games in slow motion.

A good thing to do is have a gamecube with the sd card reader then you can load the gameboy player start up disc iso.
There is also that gameboy advance adapter for snes but its rare and expensive.
Also the gba consolizer but its rare.
What other options are there for gba on tv.

eBayers realized that price charting and other sites use eBay data to make up game prices so they've been engaging in price fixing "buying" each other's listings to artificially inflate the prices.

Price charting sites list the median value, the average of what it sells for. You can even verify the median by looking at the auctions, because the sites show you said auctions that it uses to calculate.

If the website calculated 4 listing that sold for $35, and 1 listing that sold for $125, it would tell you that the game is worth $53. It would say a price even lower if more that 4 auctions ever sold at $35 or lower, like you say.

Bam, now you got a far better game boy player boot disc AND the ability to pirate all GameCube games on real hardware for half the price.

Or just straight up list it "as is" and say it's untested

All of these options assume you have a gameboy player to begin with! The gameboy player rose like 4x its asking price from four years ago. Fuck I hate it! I have a GameCube and everything I need to use boot isos except the gameboy player and it costs more than what I paid for my original gamecube. Not even worth it, I don't use my gamecube for anything now that I use a wii, so paying $90 just to play gameboy games is ridiculous.

It literally isn't a game, so no, you wouldn't. It's coincidental that the spergs who would collect every game released for the console in their region would also have a GBP and its startup disc, as they probably liked playing video games at some point before they started collecting.
If you wanted to say you owned every game and be pedantic about it, demo discs would surely be higher priority, since they have GAMES on them.

FYI you can use a gameboy player without the startup disc by using homebrew called Gameboy Interface. It's easier to install if you either have an SD reader or a softmodded Wii in order to put it on your memory card.

It's superior to the startup disc software in every way. 240p support, less lag, no frameskipping, etc. I have my original startup disc but I haven't touched it in years.

No it doesn't. All you need is a memory card with the GBI software on it, as well as a way to access it, like a hacked save file. I used my Wii to copy both of these things to a memory card, simple as. So when I want to use GBI, I use my SSBM disc, go to name entry, and that automatically boots the gameboy player.

>> No.7777385

This still requires a way to get the exploited save onto a card, as well as a game that supports the exploit. Exploitable games aren't cheap, and not everyone has an easy way to get the save onto a card.
