BEMANI(Konami's rhythm game department) had over 50 retro console software releases(ntm arcade releases), which I own the extreme majority of. All of the games require special controllers. I know for a fact most of this board has never heard of these games, or if they have, they've barely touched them.

It does on the PS2 releases. Each GFDM game for the PS2(besides the first DM) includes both GF and DM on the same disc. You can do session mode, and if you have a multitap you can do drums, guitar, and bass. At the arcade, keyboardmania could also be connected to these games, but not with the home versions(which is fucking ridiculous).

I have all numbered ones from 1 to X, X2 is pretty hard to find and not worth the money. 2~5 only came out in jp, so yeah I have those, my 1 is jp as well. Imo the best release is Extreme 1 JP by far, but for whatever reason that shit is quite expensive, so I have the trash US release.

So I loved FF3 (6) as a kid. The graphics, the music. Got all my characters to lvl 99 on Jurassic Island, they all learned all spells.

Just replayed both in order and this is 100% true.

The first half of FF6 is amazing from a story perspective. But the esper system sucks.

FF5 has a decent story throughout and a very great job system.

FF6 was the descent into FF as we know it today.
