It's study WITH practice that gets you through the kanji. I'm playing old rpgs that already have translations. It's faster than using a kanji dictionary.

It's not worth it. Japanese language is trash.

Just gave this a whirl and it's surprisingly in-depth. There's differen attack/defense/time parameters for each character and also an element to choose on top of that that does something. Picked the character with even stats across the board and ended up getting bodied by the CPU in the first match.

Columns III is superior. The HT Columns games don't have III's wacky random status effects and personally, I do not care for garbage blocks being based on a specific set of turns before you can actually clear them. That said, the HTCs are still much better than shit like Panel de Poop / Shitris Attack.
