Anyone know how to change the scale of the borderflat texture in mapinfo? I exported and modified the sbar border from Unity Doom, but I can't find any information on how to change the scale of it, and the sbar default scripts in Zandro and GZ aren't helping. Wat do?

Nah. I mean the cool thing about DOOM is that you can play it pretty much the way you want to which includes playing it like it's 1994. Not for me anymore lol.

Also as an aside, E2 and E3 feel really shoddily put-together and the graphics of the game are not really very good at the environments they're trying to do in E3. E1 still looks and feels really good but E2 and E3 maps feel like a hodgepodge they put together quickly.

Still it's cool to revisit the game before diving into custom wads n shit.

The Unity port is somewhere between Chocolate Doom and Crispy Doom in terms of accuracy and what it does, so it's pretty ok for what it is. It's also the most accurate console port of classic Doom, which I think has merit.

Looks great, but one thing that stands out for me is this brown ceiling texture connected to the grey wall part. It looks fine if the ceiling is grey like in the back since it matches, but when it's brown it looks a bit odd with the grey wall texture.

Action Doom 2, because I'm a sucker for the colorful comic book style graphics and it has lots of effort and attention to detail.

Honorable mention to Ghostbusters Doom, though forever unfinished, it blew my mind as a kid to see a movie I really loved recreated in a game I also loved. Someone should really try to make another project like that some day, they could base it on The Real Ghostbusters and have just every level be a scenario from the cartoon or inspired by it, with some originals as well.

Short level with some bullshit encounters, the one in pic related seems impossible without first jumping to an invuln and finding a secret RL beforehand. Several long dark hallway sections. Haven't I heard this name before? *Looks it up on doomwiki* Oh hey, it's 40oz! I can't believe I forgot him.
This isn't really what I would expect from 40oz. The level is merely a long string of corridors, the lack of interconnection and even keys makes for a bland experience. The encounter design didn't help either, there was little height variation to speak of with monsters being placed directly in front of the player.
It's amazing how this came out a year before UAC Ultra. He learned a lot in such a short time frame.
By the way, good job with CA 2.0 Kegan. I love the new ice beam. It was certainly worth the wait.

All the Wiser from '20 (https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/Ports/v-z/wisers).). 5 short slaughtermaps by Major Arlene, meant as birthday gifts for various people. Most people here probably don't like her maps but these were okay. Map03 was my favourite, the night atmosphere and 3D trees were cool. Combat was nothing amazing but there are some opportunities for infighting and running past encounters. Didn't finish the last two maps cause they seemed to have repetitive hub layouts. 3/5 I guess

The fact that i have ZERO injuries is a goddamn miracle to say the least. I had cut both my wrists, downed an entire bottle of Benadryl, THEN i drove my car 245 yards off of a cliff, where i then blacked out in the cold snow.

Your heart's in the right place, but I don't make my stuff with deathmatch in mind, between having all of the weapons designed to shoot through players, there's also some factors at play that would make deathmatch miserable, between Arti's pistol having a one hit kill altfire, the caltrops, Blastmaster's flamethrower, the Tech Monk's super charged rocket launcher with no self damage, and Past Linked's shield that can block everything, you'd be in for a royal shitshow.

I do tend to ignore every zdoom wad by newbies. You always start vanilla, limit removing or boom. If you start straight with zdoom maps, it's bound to be shit. Alfonzone is great because it makes use of ZDoom's features, not just for visuals, but it actually uses stuff like 3D floors, gravity, and underwater, etc, as fundamental parts of the design of levels.

if you're just adding armor on top, it would be easier to import the original model and parent new models directly to the original's verts (you can parent to a 3-vert plane)
