This seems like as good a place as any to ask this.

For about two and a half years or so on /v/, I've been doing dumps of the Player's Guide to Link to the Past every five or six months or so. Generally the threads go well, and there's been surprisingly little shitposting.

Recently I've had a few people suggesting I branch out into other guide dumps from the same era. While my LttP threads are kind of a fixture of /v/ now to the point of repeat attendees (the fact that I turn my tripcode off when not in those threads helps), people have suggested I take the other guide dump threads to this board. But I have no idea how well it would be received.

Would occasional dumps of old various player's guides for games be alright to post on this board? This thread looks like something in the same vein, so I'm asking here.

Sometimes I wish we could get a Zelda game in the vein of the artwork.

Can't help being a bit disappointed in LttP2. The gameplay and music are solid and good, but babyface Link and the interviews saying that they're bringing back the Dark World and copying the LttP overworld are zapping the excitement a bit. It's a bit OCD, but it just doesn't make sense for the Dark World to still exist seeing as we watched it cease to exist at the end of LttP, and unless they're going to hand off the Triforce to Ganon again and shoehorn the whole thing together again with a copy-plot...

Just seems like we could have gotten the Imprisoning War instead of a copy of LttP. We wanted a LttP styled game, not a carbon copy. Fingers crossed but who knows?

Yes he would, but the problem is, he's dead. And with Nintendo locked into the Historia now, he would have to be both resurrected and killed again, otherwise Oracle of Seasons/Ages is invalidated.

They've written themselves into a corner on that one. Unless they make the claim that Ganon didn't "die", and that it was a trick, except that then his wish on the Triforce wouldn't be nullified and Link to the Past's ending wouldn't have happened.

Inasmuch as we argued about getting a timeline, releasing it has rammed a wine corkscrew up Nintendo's rump in terms of where Zelda games go from now on.

I don't think every single NP issue is easy to access. All the old ones are on emuparadise.

I know the feeling though. I'm using a toaster with XP and a scanner from 2000( because I have free access to them). I do not have the patience to scan every single page, magazine, etc. One page takes a few minutes.

Which would make complete sense, except that the official title in Japan is "Link to the Past 2".

Can't start a new canon with a direct sequel.

Unless the timeline is about to get a fourth branch...please no...

Shit I had this issue as a kid, and had a crush on her something fierce. I had the crazy idea to look her up and stalk her and found out the same thing, shes a pediatrician iirc. I would have done anything to game with her as a kid..

Another person Ive stalked is James Geiger, who for some reason I deemed the coolest kid in the world because he knew the cheats to "mature" games such as snatcher and night trap.. he was my hero growing up and it never dawned on me that he might just be an adult who plays games, not just a kid with the coolest parents ever

Omg /vr/, first day here, and I am shedding manly tears. I didn't know you exist... plust these threads... pic very related.
/thread I have one or two magazines, will dump someday (they're lost in my bedroom in boxes). The good things are they talk about quake (any quakefags?) but the bad things is they're from Spain, and my only camera is from my cellphone.

I don't think anyone will care as long as they are retro. Does your magazine have nudity in its fan art section?

Thanks again, OP for posting this image. I recognized OP image instantly as I've seen it so many times I couldn't count. I have dozens of gamepro/egm from 93-96 and they've resided in rotation in my bathroom and Ive read every issue at least 2 dozen times back to front..

I really want to message Julia Reza and let her know that despite the fact she probably doesnt remember even sending her picture to gamepro, she has had a fan for 15+ years..

Again thanks OP you made my night so fucking surreal..
