ITT: We post interesting video game accessories.

Bonus point if you own them.

Here's some information on what this thing is.
GB Hunter. Plays your gameboy and gameboy color games on your TV via N64.

That's neat as hell. Where did you get it? Mind sharing some more background on it?

I don't have anything exotic other than some standard NES accessories, like ROB, Power Glove, etc. They all work just fine still, but it's nothing novel.

Jesus dick I worked for a vidya company (it was a shovelware one, I want to forget it but it payed very well) and we had one of those. It was really shitty because you had to use a GBC as a controller. Shit was worth so much to buy from nintendo, and we sold it to a collector.

Anyone own the Gameboy fishing attachement? How well does it work?

>> No.757724

I don't have a picture of it at the moment, but does a dreamcast broadband adapter count?

Got it at a yard sale, for FREE might I add.
It's pretty cool, you can play GB games with the joystick & D-pad. I've had it for years now and just recently figured out how to work the damn thing.

That's pretty cool how much was it?

30 dollars with the shipping included pretty steep but it was brand new.

I had one, sold it for a silly amount of money.
Wii component cable works good.

Those damned things were a hundred bucks each when the Gamecube was still hot shit. Nintendo, in their infinite stupidity, put the video encoder IN THE GODDAMN CABLE instead of the system.

I posted the image, but it's from google.

I picked it up new in japan in the early 2000s. Pretty cheap at the time. It's one of the only things I put back in the plastic and box after I use it..I don't know why

Crack open the box to release a ferocious Jaguar to protect you from attackers. One use only. Very rare since most cat boxes were broken open years ago.

also, wasn't there that japanese gameboy player thing or what ever it was called that was officially made by nintendo?

hillarious

I'm sure someone else can better describe it (like the poster,) but the Jaguar basically had two connections out the back for A/V outputs, networking, etc. and you bought the appropriate cable(s). The Catbox as you might now guess gives you access to all those functions in one clean package.

I never really found it to be too useful, but I was fucking around with it once and accessed a sweet debug room in Super Mario RPG.

>> No.761850

>>761728

I'm guessing probably not. They've been out of production for some time. You can try, though (and possibly find something better, like something made by Hori)

>> No.761923

>>761774
i saw one of those for 30 bucks is that a good deal?

>> No.762048

>>761923
Depends. Like I said, I didn't really use it too much, and really have no use for it now what with emulation and everything I never even take out my SNES anymore.

Unless you're some sort of collector, then it's value is completely up to you.

>> No.762218

>>761774
What is this? Does it allow you to do savestates on a real console?

>> No.762278

>>762218
Yes. I found one at a flea market forever ago while the SNES was still in production. Didn't even use it much since I liked playing games normally.

>> No.762907

>>761923
Curious about this myself. I was digging around yesterday and discovered I have three of them in the box Bought them years ago when a store was clearing out stuff and I forgot about them. Didn't even have a SNES at the time so I never tried them. Since they're used to save games, I'm guessing there's batteries in them to worry about?

>> No.763040

>>762907
I got one from a retro gaming store for like $7. Never used it, but it takes like 6AA batteries if I'm not mistaken.
