I liked 8-bit guys label restoration video. I thought they looked great, better than shitty torn up labels anyway. Pat's response, was something like: "It devalues the game"? Even though the torn labels do that anyway. I think it lead other people to add "reprint" and other markings.

I recall some dood in the somewhat early days of youtube (around 2008) called the VGReviewer. He was a Let's Player that also uploaded video guides. He had a texan(?) accent, and would often have commentary for his videos. He grew an audience pretty quickly, but eventually deleted his channel cos he preferred uploading videos with NO commentary whatsoever, and fans kept demanding he upload video commentary. wouldn't surprise me if he kys'd knowing today how much money he could've made. no one ever reuploaded videos of his sadly.

His videos are pretty well researched and he has good production value. Don't see anything cringe about it.

Wrestling with Gaming has a good video or two. Mostly the Xband and Goldeneye ones. If there are others, it's tough for me to sift through as some of his stuff is really just not as well done.

Obviously Tim Rogers of Action Button is good, if only he wasn't so navel gazing.

Madlittlepixel puts out at least some interesting tech / janky stuff, which at least has intrinsic value as not many people do that, and while he appears to be honest and not always trying to sell you stuff, he also just genuinely has bad taste, but I'd take that over a total liar.

Game Sack is good, their old stuff mostly, but thankfully it's all easy to just rewatch and re-run since it all holds up and is relevant. Joe's new stuff can be good as well; there's a few episodes that were well researched, shot, and even somewhat humorous (which is the most you'd ever get from Game Sack, which is fine), though there are definitely a few where it feels like he lost his soul, especially where he experiments growing the channel with sponsored content.

Most of Metal Jesus' videos are bad and filled with uninformed people, but he has a small handful that are interesting. People make fun of him for his hidden gems videos, but the most recent one he did on PS1 was actually pretty good. Some of his other stuff is unwatchable.

Honestly the only really good content MLiG has done is the Analogue Frontiers stuff. These guys are good at video production, but they have terrible opinions and are difficult to watch in front of a camera. Coury is at least alright, but Try is a fucking eye sore and takes forever to say stuff and has terrible taste. The way he says "de-blur" makes me want to destroy all my old consoles.

DFRetro is excellent, though much like Game Sack, it's the old stuff that shines. He hasn't done really anything interesting as of late, though he says he's going to do something soon. It's a shame because his video production and attention to detail at capturing the games is nigh unmatched.
