Play on the hardest difficulty; it only affects combat. On easier difficulties you and the enemies are absolute bullet sponges and combat is a slog. On hardest a few shots can kill you and the enemies, and shoot outs are faster paced and more tense.

Alpha Storm. Dark sci fi in space with magic, good stuff. You can try Parkan mainline series too, and Precursors, but judging by your knowledge of Neuro Hunter, you most likely already did.

It's actually more of a lost vikings type puzzle game that looks like a cyberpunk FPS and has some FPS element to it. But it does cyberpunk hard.

it does, runs like a charm. Only problem is fixed mouse sensitivity, you get used to it after awhile. It's also in borderless windowed which is great but since I have 2 monitors my mouse moves over to the other monitor while in game, tabbing me out when I click. I can probably fix that but am too lazy

Revolution (2002) is like a shitty version of HL2, before HL2. Set in a dystopian world where a resistance group are planning to overtake The Corporation who control every aspect of life, similar to the Combine.
>Buggy
>Confusing levels
>Unsatisfying gunplay
but honestly is kind of fun. Poor story, cutscenes and voice acting adds to the charm.

Neuro Hunter is a semi-decent game that copies the SS2/Arx Fatalis formula without much backthought and manages to keep you interested. The balance is broken, and you can see in the final episode that it's rushed and unfinished. But it can be satisfying if you've already played everything else, but still longing for that SS2 feel.

This, however, is an entirely different case. A huge empty city, non-existent AI (the enemies that run away from your crosshair, depending where you're poiting it), a walking simulator in its worse sense, 95% of the time you'll be walking from one address to another. You can buy a car, but then you'll be spending 75% of the time riding on rails and 20% still walking to your goal. The rest 5% is about clicking one dialogue option to trigger the next walking sequence and occasionally shooting hordes of brainless enemies.

This one is really impressive visually and level architecture-wise, however it also feels empty and half-baked. What's interesting is that this emptiness actually contributes to the game world - it's cold, alienated, you wander through the long halls of a mighty corporation without meeting a single soul. Then you get a job, go on your first assignment, and it's still empty and alienated. Most of the game I was genuinely waiting for something to kick in, but the game kept dragging and dragging, and it never happened. I didn't finish it though, I was playing with an integrated video card, and the game consistently crashed somewhere around the Biodome level and I couldn't get past it. Don't think I would want to give it another go, considering how slow it is, but it certainly was a peculiar experience.

Shadowrun genesis just got a spiffy looking romhack that recently came out. It makes the game less grindy, gives new missions to lower level johnsons, amd adjusts payments to be less of a grind. It's up on romhacking.net.
