Are there any hints about what this special/spin-off might be about? My bet is that it's a behind-the-scenes documentary about the show, maybe with some short Kibe's Challenge segments thrown in.

Is it just me, or was dynamite duke much better than the last few episodes? I hate to use the soulless meme but seriously, the past few episodes prior were just less fun than usual. Though learning about 少川さん's cute love of sailor moon was fun. I think it's the glass in between Arino and the ADs. It's more fun when they hit him with a boxing glove and really joke around.

It's because nothing special or interesting happened, and let's face it, we're suffering through over exposure of Ogawa, and it's really taken its toll.
They really should have done it like Miku, who got to be more active, but wasn't always the main star whenever she appeared. Like when the staff played the main theme to journey to silius and she was just there, trying her best not to burst out laughing while playing. If they did that this season, Ogawa would be the leader of the band somehow and be the one who talks to Arino.

Also the Wrestling one was bad because it didn't have Inoko MAX, given he's a fan on the genre, he knows how to sell it.

They were leaning heavily on Ogawa even before the pandemic hit during the TamaGee segments and then gave her her own segment.
I just feel bad for the AD since he's been totally overshadowed, especially during the Sailor Moon episode where he just appears to give Arino guides on the scouts and then it become the Ogawa show.

And yes, this season has been a throw away, They should go back to having seasons only be 10 episodes like the early days to be honest. It just feels like the season drags on, plus we probably won't get another cursed season.

Other curse seasons before the Tuxedo Clowns were from back when the seasons were shorter, and the Tuxedo Clowns actually took a little extra work to produce since they quizzed the king about the 10th anniversary every time. I think they probably had already intended for that to last only half of Season 18.

Leaving the king as a penguin for all of Season 24 doesn't really take much added effort.

I don't remember anything too fancy about Season 12 other than the start and end of the curse and the extra curse afterwards.

I think in Season 18 they said something vague about the queen and prince having been manipulated like puppets, but I don't recall exactly.

I remember the queen hosting for a couple seasons before the first curse. They do a curse every six seasons, so we would probably get another one in Season 30 if the show is still going.

Thought it was more Arino took pity on him and was willing to help get him a job and defend him when he fucked up. That's what Shocking MAX was about and how he came back as a director.

Yeah, he original left under a major cloud, they didn't even give him a proper send off or farewell video.
He sometimes comes back for live shows and specials but ends up being a giant fuck up almost every time.
Then he can't get a job and isn't doing well, so Arino let's him do a segment for the show. And while there Arino notices a post it not saying to pay the electrical bill and I think Inoko MAX says he can't afford it yet so they hire him as a trainee director.
