For me, my favorite is Dyna Blade. Comfy stages, comfy world map, secret stages with free access to copy abilities, and a nice final boss.

Least favorite is Gourmet Race. I'm sure it has its fans but I just never bother to replay it. Nice music though.

The franchise started to look good in the gba, that's when they added the metaknightmare mode.

This is strictly about the sub-games within Kirby Super Star, not the Kirby franchise as a whole.

As I said, meta knightmare is the best thing that happened in those games.

GCO and MW are tied for my favorite. I agree with GR being the least enjoyable. It has no substance and is piss easy, even for a Kirby game.

Great Cave Offensive was my favorite always wished they just made a full game based around that concept

Agreed Gourmet Race felt like a game you'd find on a shovelware compilation cart

Least: Spring Brezze

Favorite: Revenge of Meta Knight

Milkyway Wishes was my favorite to play with a friend. Was nice being able to permanently unlock an ability, and a lot of the abilities were hidden well so had the fun secret areas aspect. I also liked how it goes into a shootem up near the end.

Great Cave Offensive for exploration, it's almost a metriod-light, but it feels kind of short.

I thought Revenge of Metaknight was the more challenging one besides the boss rush mode, and I enjoyed its more focused narrative approach.

Spring Breeze and Dynablade felt more like tutorials and were almost too piss easy even by Kirby standards, but I guess Dynablade is at least has some depth it to.

Gourmet race, megaton punch, and samurai kirby are just small side games that are really just distractions. At least samurai kirby is a good measure of reaction speed. Boss Arena is also fun to go through with a friend.

Favorite: Revenge of Meta Knight (if anything from Super Star Ultra counts, then Meta Knightmare Ultra would be my favorite)

Least Favorite: Gourmet Race, only because it's so short.

What a scam. Implying anyone would have bought Gourmet Race on its own. It's one game with 8 worlds.

I liked Spring Breeze the most because I thought it was a cool throwback to the original.

Best mode is Great Cave. Actually feels like a proper Kirby game, and Amazing Mirror copies it.

Meta Knight's revenge is cringe and the worst one. Garbage dialogue and cutscenes with irrelevant OCs like Vul intruding on gameplay on a shitty airship stage from Mario 3. The bosses are also fucking garbage.

Favorite: The Arena if you ignore the fact that you can just hold R to cheese every single fight.

Least favorite: GCO is fun for about five minutes before getting old. Looking around everywhere for that one single treasure that you missed is very mind-numbing.

As a kid I honestly hated Great Cave Offensive, it felt like a big long slog that you had to get through to get the my actual favorite Milky Way Wishes. I looooved collecting the ability cards and being able to choose any ability at any given time. It felt like actual end-game unlockable stuff. Combine that with a big scary cutesy boss and I was a happy boy.
That said, GCO actually rules, all the little references are kino. MWW is still my fav though.

You still take damage when you block, with the exception of Mirror.

Mirror only deflects projectiles. Some physical attacks can penetrate its barrier.
