this level sucks ass. ammo is practically nonexistent grabbing 4 shells off the ground means aggroing 4 enemies, one of which is typically a cacodemon. storming the labyrinth of fuckery means getting hit from all angles just for some fucking armor. running for my life doesn't fucking work either, an ambush of 20 flaming skulls is waiting for you in case you dare not to engage with this survival horror orgy bullshit. literally every level before it was perfect and now im helpless in a fucking rape pit.

A hand isn’t a great basis for map design in a maze game. It basically guarantees backtracking since all the fingers mean you’re walking into a dead end on all of them. There isn’t a way to build interconnected pathways by its very nature.

I like that it's abstract, yet also feels like you're traversing hellish wastelands between two bastions in hell. Slough Of Despair isn't some castle or temple, it's not a location which was built, it's just a rocky canyon, which perhaps due to the influence of evil magic took on its odd outline.

Regrettably, he does not have TNT Evilution nor Plutonia on this page, only Doom and Doom 2. I have this image of Alien Vendetta's Misri Halek rendered like this, so either he did that on request, or the tool for this exists somewhere or he lent it out, I wish I could have it so I could render up a whole bunch of cool levels I like, it would be fantastic if I could have renders like these for Doom 64.

I've been playing doom 1 pistol starts today and yeah ammo is real scarce on this one. You gotta grab the berserk pack as soon as possible so you can punch out isolated pinkies and cacodemons. Ths lost souls are the worst part though. I dont know. Its mediocre but the ammo scarcity kind of makes things interesting to me.
