Maybe the Star Wars shooters, like Dark Forces, Jedi Knight, and Republic Commando. GoldenEye isn't too bad for a kid either.
There's also Adventures of Square and Shadow of/Rise of the Wool Ball. Those are Doom mods, but they're fairly kid friendly.

I recommend downloading the stand-alone version that comes pre-packaged with GZDoom. That way, you don't need to type out command lines to make square the IWAD, and you don't need to change your settings every time you switch to/from Square.

The gibs are things like paint and shattering light bulbs, so there's no gore, but the "gibs" are extremely satisfying nonetheless

I played Doom in 93 and I was 7, it's fine. But you seem like a pussy asking for advice from the internet in the first place instead of forming your own opinions or even doing a google search, so:

Dark Forces is probably fine. Timesplitters series, Perfect Dark (but only the remaster), there are some Doom mods out there that are kid friendly, like Adventure of Square I'm pretty sure is okay, maybe Tales of the Wool Ball or whatever it was called. And that weird one with the cartoon girls and weird sound effects.
