i am almost positive, at least at the top of the company, it was jealousy. A total Sega of Japan vs Sega of America type deal. They were not the complete bitches like Nintendo of America was and they were producing some of the biggest titles on the SNES and especially the N64. The fact that they didnt even try and hold onto the properties they co-created with Nintendo when they were sold off, just solidifies in my mind they were glad to drop them at the slightest dip in quality of their releases and completly erase they ever existed as a part of the companies history. Like could you fucking imagine if Nintendo sold off HAL or something? It would never fucking happen, Japs gotta stick together, but fuck those cheeky foreign devil brits.
