I fucking love both of them-There's really no game that you should play before the other. Seasons supposedly takes place first canonically, but it might as well be the other way around.

Also, don't think that Ages = Nothing but puzzles and Seasons = Nothing but action; BOTH GAMES HAVE PLENTY OF ACTION AND PUZZLES, THEY'RE ZELDA GAMES FFS! Ages just has MORE puzzles whereas Seasons has more action-I don't know why people make this out to be black and white.

Didn't have much money growing up, got it years late, but fuck was it ever just the best thing. It's still my all time favorite, just because.

If you do Seasons second, you get to bring Roc's Cape in for the last fight, if that makes any difference to you.

Hey! I'm playing Ages right now. Jabu-jabu is the worst dungeon ever. Really, fuck that shit. All the water level switches are in one corner of the 3rd floor of the map and you have to be constantly testing shit and modifying the water level in order to solve the environmental puzzles. It's bullshit. It takes forever to navigate it and I still need to find another key to get the boss' key.

As long as theres a thread up for this, I'm currently stuck in Jabu Jabu's belly in OoA. The boss key is behind a locked door and the compass isn't showing any more small keys on the map.

Seasons is action based and therefore easier. You should start with Seasons and then go to Ages, so the difficulty just steadily rises.

I think they're both excellent games. In my opinion, Seasons is slightly easier than Ages, so I would say play Seasons first to get a slightly more natural difficulty curve. I played Ages first and it was fine though.

Man, was Ages always this much busy work. I wound up walking in circles for ages because of the sea chart, since I figured "I already went to the Graveyard once already, why would I EVER go near there again so soon"

Differing link cables makes it impossible. You literally can't connect them due to the way that the GB link cable and the GBA link cable differ.

However, the actual Pokemon themselves could've been transferred by simply doubling the IV value and resetting the Stat EXP, and giving the Pokemon a random neutral nature.

My problem was that I didn't realize that you could flood the 2nd floor too, since the first time I got to the 2nd switch the fish was dry. Took me a while to realize that and a ton of backtracking.

I was expecting the Subrosian dancing to be horrendous based on what I've been reading about it all this time. Did it on my first try and got the boomerang. Am I missing something? Is there a harder version of it?

Either is a viable option, but replacing the battery is easy; you just have to get the tools to do so. It requires a special hex bit to open it up, which you have to special order, then once you open it you can either solder a new battery on, or remove the old one from the prongs that hold the battery and tape a new one in it's place with electrical tape.

I can solder on a new battery for you if you want to send it, but that's up to you.

You can actually heat up some solder and stick the battery to the probes, but it gets kind of sketchy from there; I don't have particularly good solder for it, it's not very conductive. It's meant for air condition and piping repair. Once I get better solder, I'll use that method for GBA and SNES/Genesis games, since GBA games are much smaller the probes for SNES/Genesis games are literally a part of the board.

For some people emulation doesn't feel right. Personally, I don't "feel" the difference, but I do enjoy actually owning the game. That gives me some pleasure on its own. But as far as pleasure derived from playing the game, I find it to be the same whether emulated or not.

Also some people don't like using a keyboard to play, but I actually kind of prefer it.

Anyone have side-by-side comparisons of the palette differences between playing on GBC/3DS VC and on GBA? All I've found was the title screen .

IIRC the GBA makes the colors brighter but washed out, which is usual for many GBA games and not as good for backlit options now
