Worth buying?
I've heard a lot of good things about it.
I haven't heard too many cons, (correct me if I'm wrong) but it has a few connection problems at times, and a lot of its library was either not worth playing, or has been ported to something better
The connection problems are understandable, since it's over 10 years old and shit
But what do you guys think?

It's worth buying for Shenmue alone.
You're correct that most of its better games have gotten decent ports; Shenmue 2, Power Stone 1/2, Grandia 2, etc have all gotten decent ports on later consoles.

But to my knowledge, Shenmue was never ported. And it's the DC's strongest title, and one of the greatest games of all time.

If you can find one for a good price, get it and play Shenmue.

Only early models can play burned games and imports through a boot disc.

There's an issue with blown controller ports if you plug in/unplug a controller while the system is ON.

Most DC games are superior on the original hardware: Grandia 2, Evolution, Crazy Taxi.

Vidya you should get:
Bust A Move 4, D2, Evolution 1 and 2, Grandia 2, Jojo, Seaman.

Those are solid choices. I would go with these games, Timestalkers, and Shenmue.

DC looks like shit on anything that isn't CRT.
