It doesn't really matter which you play first. Just flip a coin or something. But for me personally, I liked Seasons a little better.

I liked Ages better, but the order is completely irrelevant, the overarching plot content appears identically in both games, regardless of order.

I liked seasons better. They're both good tho.

If you like puzzles, play Ages first. If you like action, play Seasons.

Play Seasons first. Just do it.

I think if you have both, it unlocks a dungeon or a real ending.

The games are similar, but the contents are different.

Different dungeons, different characters.

You can use passwords between the two games to get rings and upgrades. Not sure how this works on 3DS.

If you beat both games, then connect, you get the secret final boss.

The two games are completely different. To get the true ending however you have to beat one game, then use a password you get into the other for an extra plot.

I prefer Seasons to Ages, but that's because Seasons focuses on action while Ages focuses on puzzles

When you beat the first game, you unlock post-game content in it that uses passwords you get in the second game.

When you beat the second game, you unlock the real final boss in it and you can get passwords to use in th first game.

I remember buying both when the nintendo advanced came out, supposedly they had "special features" if you played them in the gba instead of the gc. Never finished any of them i remember both of them being way too hard when compared to awakening and lttp.

see, before i installed cfw on my psp i would have been willing to pay 5 bucks each to get these games on a handheld i actually own and use these days, but as i own the physical games and have them on several handhelds with emulators...

but if you don't have that, like if you only have a 3ds for handheld gaming i think it would be worth it, so you have them on the go, like they were meant to be.

yeah, that is a bit of a bummer. although only really if you feel the need to get a completionist file. i guess if you buy this you would be buying it for the convenience of having it on your 3ds, and not worry about getting every single item. at least the exclusive rings are useless, so you don't need them.

TL;DR
3DS: DS and GBC games in 1:1 mode appear smaller due to pixel density
3DSXL: DS and GBC games in 1:1 appear slightly larger than on the original hardware

These are my favorite 2D Zelda games in the series. I prefer the Seasons to Ages path, but it really doesn't matter that much in the end. From start to finish these games are amazing.

they're fun games, and i stand by what i said originally, they'd be well worth 5 dollars if the only system i had to play them on was my 3ds. i personally don't care about getting absolutely 100% completion in most games. the tedium of trying to acquire every single ring from those games, 90% of which are straight up useless, didn't seem fun to me, so i never bothered.

I'm okay with empty spaces in the rings list, as long as it doesn't actually say "98%".

People enjoy these games. And they enjoy having them in a format that they can carry around easily. Some people would rather just not bother with flash carts/etc. and wouldn't mind paying. Because, you know, $5 is really a negligible amount of money if you have a job and don't live in mom's basement
