I find this game to be just alright. Nothing really stands out about it, aside from the fact that you get to create your own tracks, which was admittedly impressive for the time

Is this some kind of meme where you post an original NES launch title every 20 minutes and say they are "just alright"? Are you a bot?

In the last 24 hours you posted excite bike, 10 yard fight, baseball, pinball and probably a few others. Can we expect gyromite next?

I'm just asking /vr/ what they think of these NES launch titles.

Also, I love Pinball. While I do think there are some fun NES launch games like Duck Hunt, Pinball (Like I just said), and Clu Clu Land, I don't think the NES got REALLY good in America until around 1987 when games like Mega Man, Castlevania, and Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! were coming out

I do admit when I said Excitebike was just alright, I probably should have said it was a fun game, since I did have fun with it, even though it's not any of my favorite NES games

Honestly prefer 2nd generation consoles to black box NES games, not that they're all bad or anything

There is a reason for that. Bankswitching mapper chips were invented to extend the ROM space. The NES natively can only address 32kb of ROM (code) and 8kb of CHR (graphics). All of the black box games are 40kb or less, and there is only so much you can do in that space.
