Hell yes. None of those things in your pic are 'fake', btw.

Yeah, I have a MadCatz 16x GameCube memory card that has never failed me once. Yet, I've had multiple official Nintendo memory cards corrupt.

Does my game boy advance action replay count? That's all I can think of.

I have to maintain a virtual windows 98 environment on my pc just to be able to run the software to update this fucking thing.

The word youre looking for is 'third party'

Ive owned a lot of thirdparty controllers for ps2 because i hated how the original felt. pelican controllers are by far my favorite. the grips on the analogue sticks wear down pretty quickly, but the gripless sticks arent that bad either. ive been playing on one with the grips completely peeled off and its kind of comftorable

third party memory sticks are completely shit tho, never buy them. had a good 3-4 ones get corrupted

Oh yeah, I try to stay away from third party memory cards but I have tons of funky third party ps1 and ps2 controllers

Two Retro-Bit 6-Button Genesis controllers (one black, one blue)
Mega Everdrive x3
SNES bootleg of the Shin Megami Tensei if... fan translation
Reproduction of Trip World for GameBoy, I think my copy of Mole Mania might also be a repro but I'm not sure
Tons of burned Dreamcast games
Shitty cheap PS1 memory card that corrupted my Parasite Eve data right before the end
Third party PS2 controller with a giant GameStop logo on it from like 2008
I've also got some third party cables for my Genesis and GameCube. Had a third party GameCube memory card years ago, but I traded it to some Melee guy for an Xbox game in high school.

Got one of these alleged "official Resident Evil peripheral" PSX controllers, not my photo but I can't be bothered digging mine out right now

also an old third party SNES controller with turbo switches for the face buttons, might have been a mad catz one, came with the console when we got it second hand

PS2 is actually one of the few systems where legit counterfeits of controllers and memory cards exists
Sony logos and everything but still not official. Most notable is probably this wireless controller which even has a Sony model number on the rear but it's still a fake despite that as Sony themselves didn't make a wireless DS2

>> No.7410660

>>7410501
Kind of related but is that the reason you can't find any real DS3s used online anymore?

Good to know, although I can't find any on aliexpress with the sony logo.

I own a couple of logitech wireless ps2 pads which were the closest things to an "official" wireless ps2 pad back in the day.

By referring to cheap knockoff and unbranded peripherals as “counterfeit”. Anon you guys are shitting your diapers over called it legitimate because of the serious effort of making the controllers “pass” as first party.

Even fake N64 controllers are usually without the Nintendo logos and stuff like GameBoy shells have all sorts of variants like GameMan and PlayAdvance written on them
The only other ones I can think of with logos and everything are NeoGeo CD controllers and Sega Saturn and Mega Drive pads
