They are, though I'd rather not be blamed for that. If the buyer doesn't send you a message right after buying something or their english is too broken then I'd be worried.

Got a sealed copy of the Collector's Edition of Ocarina of Time for like $180 several years back. Was a bit of a gamble since no pics were provided for the listing but holy shit opening that parcel was like opening a treasure chest irl. The gold packaging literally lit up the room.

Usually people selling on Ebay know what games are worth. You are more likely to get better deals on other places like Facebooks marketplace for example is a place people will go if they want to get rid of something fast.

Last year I got a Japanese pink Dreamcast VMU with cap for $5 AUD when they were selling around $50 to $60.
That's about it for me regarding getting items for way cheaper than they were selling for at the time.
I'm so glad I got into the Dreamcast in 2010 though. I remember buying 4 sealed controllers, 4 sealed rumble paks, a couple of sealed VMUs, and new copies of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2, Quake 3 and Jet Set Radio all for around $120 AUD. Fucking incredible considering new controllers now go for $60 to $80 AUD alone.

My strategy on eBay is to find people who charge exorbitant prices and offer them like half of what they think it's worth. Usually you'll get declined, but occasionally you'll find one person who is desperate enough to sell at that price. It helps to sort by ending soonest as well, since those have been up for the longest. I got Pokemon Emerald for $15 doing this.

>> No.7404215

Sniped Pokemon Colosseum for $60 a couple months ago when prices were starting to get nuts. Now it goes regularly for $150+
Also got Sonic 2 on Genesis CIB for like $24

you faggots are the worst, always offering shitty deals that are obviously not anywhere near what its worth.
most people can spend the 2 minutes needed to find out what the game is going for at auction or on buy it now prices and just reject that shit.
i don't even respond to people who make ridiculous lowballs now.

>> No.7404932

>>7404914
i don't most the time but the way ebay operates allows people to just send you messages with shitty offers related to something your selling.
it really is a cesspool for selling your shit, especially considering the buyer can literally just say "i never got it" and 9 times out of 10 claim a refund on whatever they've stolen no matter how much evidence you submit.

>> No.7404939

>>7404919
i'm not a reseller, i just get rip off prices on my games for trade ins locally.

>> No.7404992

>>7404890
Notice how I mentioned that I only do this to extremely overpriced games? If you have a reasonable price you get a reasonable offer. I only lowball those who think they’re going to get rich off this shit.
