Hey perfect thread, can someone help me here?

Basically, is this a fake game? I bought it on ebay like a year ago because I hadn't played it yet, and I didn't realise that the carts were supposed to be gold because I'm retarded and didn't do any research.
From what I've played it seems like a perectly functional game, but then again I haven't played a definitely-authentic version of Pokemon Gold so I don't know how much it differs from the original.

Notice the black cart and no Nintendo Seal of Quality. Are there any things in-game I can look for to confirm if it's a bootleg?

Thanks for the replies, damn that sucks, I gave him positive feedback and thought it was the best thing ever because I got it for like £3, which is pretty good for a pokemon game from ebay. Eh, at least it gives me an excuse to pick up a CIB version of it, shame I'll probably have to spend about £30 on it though.
