I love this game but getting it to 100% is almost impossible since I'm a retard.
>Gold gems behind doing perfect boss runs
>Stupid ass gold gems like the one in Rescue Part 1
>Even if you get all the gems you still need to get an overall A rank to get the final gem

These games are designed for replay but the designers insist on not offering replay tools or a good design.

Keep at it, you'll do it one day. As long as you're having fun. Seeing how people online handle things may help you better understand what you need to do.

SHAKE SHAKE

Just wait til you try going for S ranks.

I mean just some days ago I was convinced that I wasn't going to get the gold gem on the 100 Mt. Dash but I got it an hour ago.
I used pic related instead since my only real N64 controller's d-pad is a bit loose so I wasn't mashing as much as I could.

You know, I must have played this maybe once, but all I can think about when I see this character is paizuri for some reason

Why the fuck did this not get a Wii sequel. Come the fuck on

Just play Wario Land Shake It, you'll get your shake shake fix and it's also a better designed game than Mischief Makers to boot.

>> No.7382273

Treasure kinda sucked at level design and structuring. They make up for it on character movement/mechanics and setpieces (in a more general sense, including bosses).
I love just moving around in MM and I can tolerate the level design and this kind of bullshit because it is intrinsically fun to just play the game, but it could be so much better.

treasure games are meant to be figured out over the course of years

Play it again bro. Also idk, there's barely any porn of ol' MARINA CHAAAAN
>>7382273
Kind of. I feel like they did excel in shooters, but stuff like Wario World did have good level design.
Some of the levels in M. Makers are too fucking boxy or they feel somewhat incomplete despite making sense, like Seasick Climb or Vertigo.
>>7384765
I really have no clue anymore since they re-released Rakugaki Showtime (which had Marina and she's the reason why the game is so rare) on the PS3 and the copyright shows both Treasure and Square Enix. It's probably some bullshit like SMRPG.

I'll never get all 5 paths in Silhouette Mirage either.

I dont really agree. I think that once you get good at GOES FAST you start to rethink the level designs a lot. They really change at different skill levels. May not seem like anything special to an average player I admit, but the more you get into using the physics and going for ridiculous S Rank requirements you really start to see the intention behind different parts of any level.

>>7384885
>>7384894
I always forget Wario World is from Treasure. Feels absolutely nothing like their other games. Maybe that was intentional but I’m sad we didn’t get a more typical cuhrazy treasure game starring Wario.

What? It's good. Really feels like a 3D Wario Land with the backtracking and big areas to explore.
The movement is also really good and the only bad thing about it is the later sublevels, like the huge one in Pecan Sands.

>>7385071
I'm fairly certain it was due to being a Nintendo IP.
But they did do some weird shit with the designs of the bosses and enemies, even if they're all reskins.

>good movement
You just described the main quality of the 3d series. Wario on the other hand is a nightmare to control
