The library is so limited that there aren't like a trove of #HiddenGems but for me the games worth checking out are

Star Wars Rogue Leader
Double Dash
Metroid Prime 1 and 2 (though I prefer motion controls on the Wii rereleases)
Zelda Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Four Swords Adventures
The Zelda Collection is good too even though Majoras Mask is notorious for crashing. Apparently disabling controller rumble makes it crash less.
Luigi's Mansion
Mario Golf Toadstool Tour
Star Fox Assault
Baten Kaitos
PN 03
Killer 7
Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2
Viewtiful Joe 1 and 2
Wario World
Mario Party 4
Simpsons Hit and Run
SSX 3
Pikmin 1 and 2 (I prefer these without the Wii motion controls)
Super Mario Sunshine (thought the switch port is objectively better now that they've fixed the camera and added analogue trigger support)
The Pokemon games are interesting if youre a pokemon fan just because it's a taste of what the series might be like without Game Freak holding the reins

Some of these are multiplats and usually the Xbox versions are a bit higher fidelity but I still like the Gamecube

I like the gamecube, it's overrated by a lot of youtubers and unnecessarily trashed on by /vr/ a lot of the time. Its definitely not Nintendo's best console and doesnt have as much to offer as other Gen 6 consoles but some of the games on it are the best titles in their respective franchises

Disagree, the game simply was not built for that resolution and draw distance, and especially with the dimished heatwave effect you can more easily see visual flaws like Piantas T-posing before you're within range, and once you notice Peach's "eyerings" in one of the early FMVs you will have nightmares.

Eternal Darkness is one of the best true GameCube exclusives.

Twin Snakes is pretty dope as well.

Am I the only one who got immense pleasure out of the NES games and was turned off when they were removed in later entries? It may just be an emulation but it was such a novelty back then, with they kept the idea to run NES ROMs off your Memory Card. Also gonna add Doshin the Giant if you want something experimental. Yes I know these are technically N64/DD ports but they were Japan only so I consider them exclusive.

The GameCube version is inferior to the Xbox version in every way. The game also has a PC port that runs on toasters and is much better than the GameCube version.

My bad, didn't bother reading the rest of your post after you revealed yourself to be a moron. It's not just "higher fidelity", and it's not just the Xbox versions. The games themselves are gimped. The GameCube version of SSX 3, a game about performing tricks, has less than half of the tricks of the PS2 and Xbox versions. There is 0 reason to play that version of the game.

>> No.7348410

F-Zero GX
Pikmin
Resident Evil 1, 4
Super Monkey Ball 1, 2
Killer 7

That's all I needed anyway. There's other good stuff but whatever. Metroid never should have gone 3D, even though Metroid Prime is a good game. I never played any Zeldas past Ocarina of Time. Resident Evil 0 is fine but I don't care, the remake of the first game covered that territory already. Viewtiful Joe is good but it's not Pikmin. Mario Sunshine is mostly good but I got tired of it. Luigi's Mansion is good but not all that substantial. Soul Calibur and Smash Bros. are excellent if you're into that genre and have people to play with, but they're just pretty good otherwise. The same goes for WarioWare. Nobody ever needed more Mario Kart beyond the SNES one.

I mean I still think it's a good console. A box that plays only Pikmin or only F-Zero GX would be a good console. (I never played any Pikmin sequel so I don't know one way or the other about that.)

Honestly I thought the minigames they put in new leaf (both the island ones and the amiibo-based ones from the update) were better than the NES games.

It's still really cool to collect entire NES games within another game, but most of what you could get were just novelties you'd play for 5 minutes and forget, you pretty much had to hack in the actual good event ones like Metroid and Zelda

Ikaruga is a fun shoot em up. Resident Evil remake and 4, Rogue Squadron, FZero, Phantasy star online but only if you have friends to play it with, same with Smash bros but don't get into it competitively unless you want to become a furry tier loser. Check out Metal Gear if you never played it on PSX.

Played a lot of Crash Team racing. Then a lot of Speed Punks. Then some Rollcage. Then a lot of Mario Kart DS. Then tried Double Dash, and it was unironically worse than every one of the above. Maps are flat crap, with long jump being a gimmick. Car behaviour is too simplistic, it is similar in DS, but maps in DS were 10x better. Car "physics" in CTR and Speed Punks is much better, I also liked one in Rollcage, though it is peculiar there. I probably had too high expectations for Double Dash and was disappointed.
