Only the most retarded DBZ fan would think that. Other than the tail thing there really isn't any connection at all. Some people like to say that the "Trance" state characters have is super saiyan or whatever but lots of media involves super transformations and SS is the most popular one so who cares?

Pretty cool story OP, just make sure you get Auto-Haste on all your characters and speed up the Battle Speed in the config menu and you'll be treated to a pretty one of a kind game.

Both this and DBZ owe the "human with a monkey tail" to the Chinese fable "Journey to the West," written hundreds of years ago.
