I'd like to buy a Mega SG. I only heard of that product recently with the release of Paprium. Instead, they're working on a PC Engine device. Why? Those games are even rarer than the Genesis.

Might go for Mega SG when my Genesis eats shit. Checked the website and had no idea it accepted Cd and Master System. Hope it accepts 32X just for completions sake That all in one Gameboy looks nice too but I’ve got a GBA and price is a bit much for me

Kinda.
32X only works with an analog signal so you'll need to shill out for the proprietary DAC box to use it with the Mega Sg.

There are tons of in-depth reviews out there that you can read. People on this board have the biggest hate boner for Analogue products but it would be dishonest to withhold that they're the best clone systems there ever were. You are getting a high quality and reliable product for your money. If a purchase makes sense is a question only you can answer yourself. I think it does primarily if you already call a sizeable collection of real Genesis cartridges your own. Or maybe if you already have a Genesis and flash cart but want to simply or future proff your TV setup / compatibility. On the other hand it makes next to zero sense if you own neither a real console, games or flash cart. Buying a Mega SG to play ROMs off the built-in SD card reader is stupid imo. You might as well use an emulator then and spend that money elsewhere.

Overpriced rich hips.0.yturd bait, if you wanna play your consoles on modern tvs get a RetroThinkX and if you just wanna emulate use retroarch and if your PC is beeffier and over 1440p enjoy the shaders.

It's a device for people who already have a collection of Genesis carts, and those kinds of people either already have controllers, or are capable of getting a replacement/sourcing an alternative, of which there are dozens of options.
The price didn't need jacking up further because of an unnecessary inclusion for unresourceful babbies.

False. I already proved that the MiSTer is selling products. People can either buy a fully assembled MiSTer or buy them in parts. Even those parts have the MiSTer logo on them. That's branding. >> No.7316553

>>7313938
Oh... the thing is you don't need any of that.
I paid more than I had to for my case. It's a precision milled Black Anodized aluminum case for a VGA switcher some boutique manufacture was making. I think I paid about $35 for that. Then I drilled out the little modifications I needed to add the LED lighted buttons I got from that gay electronics supplier in NYC. I spent about $20 on all the connectors I needed to make custom cables and that includes my Arduino usb controller adapters. I spent another $20 on the 4A 5V OverKill power supply that's made for running server room equipment.
None of that the average person needed. I just wanted a custom enclosure for mine. Also I spent half of what they want for one of those USB boards. It took some time, but I cracked the code on what made their USB board "special" and searched and searched until I could find an external Chinese equivalent for half the price. Works great.

Maybe if you're not smart enough to do anything custom, but a MiSTer does so much more than just a single aftermarket Video Game Console.
Yay... you can play Snes Carts on a HDMI television. Is that really worth the price of an Anal ogue? I can run software on more computers than most people can fit inside their home on a MiSTer.
