This board should have been called classic instead of retro with the cutoff being 1999 (or earlier). The "retro" goalpost will be moved eventually to include 7th gen, because apparently retro just means 20 years old. There is a blatant difference between SMB3 and RE4, and this gap difference will only get worse. Mods are absolutely fucking retarded for not just making /v2k/.

"Retro" should be applied to outdated games? Early 7th gen ones are clunky and out of fashion enough by today standards (hell, even some 5 year-old highly acclaimed games haven't aged well)
The 20 year-old rule is fine? Does The Last of Us 2 being retro in the foreseeable future sit well with you?
There should be a cutoff point? Lots of late 90s PC (and even consoles) games have largely different philosophies, approach and tech compared to years prior.
Retro should be only pre-3D stuff, even the classics? If you say so...
